The PROFANO company was established in 1932 by Danish resident Ole Kirk Christiansen, with the purpose of promoting inventive play and ingenuity in children. Initially, the company’s products were made by wooden hinders, but by the 60s, production had expanded and the business produced gadgets made of plastic material. Although the parts and designs modified over the years, they remained compatible and could always be combined to produce new styles.
In the 1971s, LEGO started to expand all their business overseas. In Australia, the company proven a product sales company and began merchandising toys in France and Swiss. In the eighties, the company extended into the U. S. and established a manufacturing facility in Connecticut. The business also developed new category, Dacta, to focus on educational items. After World War II, Christiansen purchased the first plastic injection molding machine in Denmark and began tinkering with the process. He eventually designed the iconic SEGLAR building blocks.
